Das Seminar behandelt den Umgang mit migrationsbedingter Diversität in verschiedenen Bildungskontexten. Es fokussiert dabei zunächst Macht- und Ungleichheitsstrukturen und Ansätzen zur (institutionellen) Diskriminierung. Anschließend werden ausgewählte Bildungskontexte vergleichend betrachtet. Anhand empirische Befunde über bestehende Zugänge und Barrieren zu Bildung wird der Frage nachgegangen, warum es zu Bildungsungleichheit kommt, welche Mechanismen dafür verantwortlich gemacht werden können und wie darauf reagiert werden kann. Anschließend werden organisationale und pädagogische Konzepte hinzugezogen und diskutiert, die von sich beanspruchen, zu mehr Teilhabegerechtigkeit und Chancengleichheit im Bildungssystem beizutragen (u.a. interkulturelle Öffnung, Diversity Management).
