Ausgehend von der Reflexion eigener biographischer Erfahrungen mit dem Lernen und Lehren von Fremdsprachen setzen sich die Studierenden mit Zielen, Inhalten, Gegenständen und Methoden der Fremdsprachendidaktik auseinander und erkennen dabei deren Relevanz für die Gestaltung von fremdsprachlichen Lehr- und Lernprozessen.
Die Studierenden verfügen einerseits am Ende der Veranstaltung über ausbaufähige Kompetenzen in den wichtigsten Erkenntnis- und Arbeitsmethoden der Fremdsprachendidaktik und reflektieren ihre eigenen Bildungsbiographien als Sprachlerner- und -lehrer und kennen deren Bedeutung für die Professionalisierung.
Andererseits verfügen sie über ausbaufähiges fremdsprachendidaktisches Grundlagenwissen, das ihnen Orientierung bei der Entwicklung kompetenzorientierten Fremdsprachenunterricht bietet.
