Die Erzähltheorie gehört zu den Grundlagentheorien der Literaturwissenschaft. Eine Analyse narrativer Texte setzt ihre Kenntnis als Handwerkszeug voraus. Das Seminar will auf dreifache Weise mit den zentralen Elementen und Erkenntnisse der Erzähltheorie vertraut machen. Erstens geht es um eine Vermittlung einschlägiger Konzepte und Problemstellungen. Zweitens sollen diese theoretischen Einsichten an einem literarischen Text in Form methodisch angeleiteter Interpretationen erprobt werden; dies soll am Beispiel von Alfred Döblins Roman „Berlin Alexanderplatz“ geschehen. Drittens werden die TeilnehmerInnen in praktischen Schreibübungen eigene Erfahrungen sammeln, wenn sie erzähltheoretische Einsichten in Texte umsetzen. Was bewirkt eine Veränderung der Perspektive? Wie kann man mit Zeit umgehen? Wie verändert die Form der Rede die mitgeteilte Information?
