230359 Literarische Gäste: Texte zum Thema Gastlichkeit II (S) (SoSe 2007)

Auf Wunsch derjenigen Studierenden, die das Seminar »Literarische Gäste« im letzten Sommer wegen Überfüllung nicht besuchen konnten, wird die Thematik in diesem Semester mit anderem Zuschnitt noch einmal angeboten. - Das "zu Gast sein" und überhaupt die komplexe soziale Situation der Gastlichkeit bringt für alle daran Beteiligten immer wieder aufs neue Probleme mit sich, die bis hin zur Ermordung von Gast oder Gastgeber reichen können. Davon handeln zahlreiche literarische Texte des 18. bis 20. Jahrhunderts.
Diesem trotz seiner breiten Verankerung in der Literatur bisher nur punktuell erforschten Gegenstand soll im Seminar nachgegangen werden. In Ergänzung der im letzten Sommersemester behandelten Texte sollen diesmal u.a. gelesen werden:
- Goethe, Johann Wolfgang: Die Wahlverwandtschaften. 1809 [Ausgabe:dtv 12403]).
- Zschokke, Heinrich: Der tote Gast. In: Ders.: Harmonius. Aarau: Sauerländer 1825.
- Bächler, Wolfgang: Der nächtliche Gast. Roman. München, Zürich: Piper 1988 (E: 1950).
Beste Vorbereitung: Die Primärtexte bereits vor Semesterbeginn lesen.
