In der pädagogischen Praxis, ebenso wie in der empirischen Sozialforschung, geht es immer auch daruam, 'den Anderen' zud 'verstehen' und sein spezifisches Problem in seiner Entstehung zu erklären. Wie ist das möglich? Und: Gibt es so etwas wie 'objektives Verstehen', ein Verstehen, das etwas anderes ist als der Nachfollzug des subjektiv gemeinten Sinns eines Akteurs? Im Seminar wird zunächst in derzeit einflussreichsten methoden qualitativer Sozialforschung eingeführt und schließlich das Interpretationsverfahren der Objektiven Hermeneutik vertiefend anhand von verschiedenen Materialien praktisch erprobt. Theoretische Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich.
