Der Kurs hat zum Ziel, die Verwendung von experimentellen, qualitativen und quantitativen Methoden anhand eines empirischen Themas zu demonstrieren und die entstehenden Synergieeffekte aufzuzeigen. Das gewählte empirische Thema gehört dem Bereich multi-modaler Kommunikation an. Es handelt sich um "Gestik, insbesondere zeigen, in konkreten Kommunikationssituationen".
Folgende Gegenstände, fokussiert jeweils auf Gestik/Zeigen, werden in diesem Kurs behandelt:
- Referenz
- Deixis
- Psycholinguistische und linguistische Arbeiten zu Gestik/Zeigen: Von der Phänomenologie zur kognitiven Modellierung
- Experimente zu Gestik/Zeigen mit/ohne Verwendung von VR-Technologie
- Annotation von experimentell erhobenen Daten und ihre statistische Auswertung: Hypothesengenerierung zu Zeigen
- Modellierung von Gestik-Daten in VR
- Gestik/Zeigen als Gegenstand einer formalen Semantik/Pragmatik-Theorie: Revision existierender theoretischer Ansätze
- Ausblick auf ikonische Gesten.
Leistung für Teilnahmeschein: Vortrag, "Short Paper".
