Matlab ist eine interaktive Entwicklungsumgebung, die sich fuer wissenschaftliche, numerische Berechnungen und zur Visualisierung in fast allen Bereichen von Naturwissenschaft und Technik einsetzen laesst.
Die Matlab Programmiersprache ist leicht verstaendlich und macht eine Entwicklung von Algorithmen in vielen Bereichen gut moeglich. Es sollen neben einer Einfuehrung in die Matlab Programmiersprache auch fortgeschrittenere Programmiertechniken wie Vektorisierung, Objektorientierung, Fehlersuche mit dem Debugger, Geschwindigkeitsoptimierung mit dem Profiler und Erstellung graphischer Oberflaechen vermittelt werden, die zur Bearbeitung umfachreicherer Programmierprojekte nuetzlich sind. Dies soll auf interaktive Weise direkt am Computer anhand verschiedener Beispiele erfolgen.
