(zusammen mit der Universität Aarhus/Dänemark) Der Schwerpunkt des Kurses liegt bei der experimentellen Laborarbeit in der Station (also nicht beim Artenbestimmen!). Frischmaterialbeschaffung aus dem Felswatt oder vom Kutter. Zellbiologische Versuche mit Standardobjekten der experimentellen Entwicklungsbiologie, Pomatoceros, Echinodermen, Ciona u.a. zur Befruchtung, Furchung und Differenzierung. Vorkenntnisse in Zellbiologie und Biochemie werden vorausgesetzt. Das zur Exkursion gehörige Seminar "Entwicklungsbiologie mariner Organismen" wird vor Ort in Helgoland durchgeführt.
