Beim Studium von affinen kristallografischen und allgemeiner affinen eigentlich diskontinuierlichen Gruppen ist die Margulis-Invariante von besonderer Bedeutung. In letzter Zeit hat es eine neue Entwicklung gegeben. Dabei wurde diese Invariante neu interpretiert, verallgemeinert und in dieser verallgemeinerten Form wurde eine Vermutung von Goldman und Margulis gel\"ost. Ziel des Seminars ist es, die neue Arbeit zu diesem Thema von Goldman, Labourie und Margulis durchzuarbeiten.
