Ein Bild sagt - sprichwörtlich - mehr als tausend Worte. Könnte man Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince also bequemer Weise als 50seitigen Comic veröffentlichen und sich so die mühevolle Übersetzung sparen?
Bei der Rezeption illustrierter Texte oder auch in Multimedia-Anwendungen wirken Sprach- und Bildinformation zusammen. In psycholinguistischer, aber auch medienpraktischer Hinsicht ist die Frage, wie dieses Zusammenwirken funktioniert, von besonderem Interesse. Der Beitrag, den Texte und Bilder zum Verstehen komplexer Sachverhalte leisten, ist einer der produktivsten Forschungsgegenst de in der gegenw tigen Kognitionswissenschaft.
Im Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung stehen theoretische Überlegungen und empirische Befunde zu kognitiven Prozessen menschlicher Informationsverarbeitung. Behandelt werden u.a.
- semiotische Grundlagen und aktuelle Verstehenstheorien,
- Theorien der Repräsentation sprachlicher und bildlicher Information,
- einschlägige experimentelle Untersuchungen,
- Fragen der optimalen Gestaltung illustrierter Texte.
Teilleistung der Abschlussprüfung möglich (Klausur oder mündliche Prüfung).
