Die Lehrveranstaltung besteht aus zwei Blockveranstaltungen, die zu Semesterbeginn und Semesterende stattfinden, und einer semesterbegleitenden zweistündigen Übung.
In dieser obligatorischen Einführungsveranstaltung für Studierende im ersten Semester (Kern- und Nebenfach) werden "alle" wichtigen Fragen im Zusammenhang mit dem Deutsch-als-Fremdsprache-Studium behandelt, z.B.
- Ziele und Inhalte des Studiums
- Aufbau des Studiums, Module und Profile
- Fächerkombination
- Studienorganisation (Gesamtcurriculum, Stundenplan)
- Hilfsmittel (u.a. einführende Fachliteratur)
- Praktikumsmöglichkeiten
- Berufsfelder
- DaF-Organisationen im In- und Ausland
- Bibliotheksbenutzung, Benutzung der Mediothek
- MitarbeiterInnen im Fach und deren Aufgaben
Darüber hinaus besteht im Rahmen der Veranstaltung die Möglichkeit zu individueller Studienberatung.
In der semesterbegleitenden Übung werden die Themen vertieft und Berufsfelderkundungen (u.a. Hospitationen) durchgeführt.
