Im Zentrum dieser Veranstaltung steht der sogenannte Revisionismusstreit, in dem sich um die Wende zum 20. Jahrhundert vor allem die deutsche Sozialdemokratie von ihren marxistischen Wurzeln trennte, um sich in die Tradition der liberalen Demokratie zu stellen. Dabei kommen voraussichtlich Bernstein, Kautsky, Luxemburg, Lenin und eventuell auch Lassalle und Trotzki zu Wort. Zu Beginn des Semesters soll jedoch versucht werden, anhand ausgewählter Schriften von Marx und Engels die Vorgeschichte dieser Auseinandersetzung zu rekonstruieren.
Für eine Leistungsbescheinigung (im BA-Studiengang) wird eine Hausarbeit im Umfang von ca. 10 Seiten, deren Fragestellung individuell abgesprochen wird,
für einen Leistungsnachweis (im Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) eine Hausarbeit im Umfang von ca 16 - 20 Seiten, deren Fragestellung individuell abgesprochen wird, erwartet.

Requirements for participation, required level

BA-Studiengang: Abschluss des ersten Studienjahres.
Magister- und Lehramts-Studiengänge: Zwischenprüfung.
Die Bereitschaft, sich durch intensive Lektüre auf die Sitzungen vorzubereiten und ein Kurzreferat zu übernehmen.

Bibliography

Die Literatur wird zu Beginn des Semesters in Form eines Readers zum Selbstkostenpreis zur Verfügung gestellt.
