Mit einer geschätzten Lebenszeitprävalenz von ca. 10% bei Männern und über 20% bei Frauen gehören affektive Störungen zu den häufigsten psychischen Erkrankungen. Ziel des Seminars ist eine Auseinandersetzung mit der Ätiologie und Therapie unipolarer Depressionen. Im ersten Teil des Seminars sollen Grundlagenkenntnisse zu diesem Störungsbild vermittelt bzw. aufgefrischt werden (Symptomatik, Klassifikation, Ätiologie und Therapie). In einem zweiten Teil wird es dann um die Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Entwicklungen in Ätiologieforschung sowie Behandlung bei Depressionen gehen.
