Mediation ("Vermittlung") ist ein außergerichtliches Verfahren der Konfliktbearbeitung, bei dem ein neutraler Dritter den Konfliktparteien hilft, selbst zu einer einvernehmlichen Lösung des Konflikts zu kommen.
So oder so ähnlich lautet die Definition in Büchern. Hinter der trockenen Formulierung steckt aber ein ausgesprochen lebendiger Prozess, mit dem sich das Seminar eingehend beschäftigen wird. Die Veranstaltung wird dazu nicht nur auf die Literatur, sondern auch auf Übungen, Rollenspiele und Reflexionen zurückgreifen. Die Bereitschaft zur aktiven Mitarbeit an diesen Elementen ist Teilnahmevoraussetzung.
