Organische Verbindung besitzen neben ihrem ggf. vorhandenen Trivialnahmen einen systematischen Namen, der durch die IUPAC-Regeln ("Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry", auch als "Blue Book" bekannt) festgelegt wird. Ziel dieses Projektes ist, über ein zu erstellendes Programm anhand von Strukturformeln den systematischen Namen automatisch zu bestimmen und anhand von systematischen Namen ein Molekül darzustellen.
Dazu wird es notwendig sein, chemische Strukturen in einer Datenstruktur zu repräsentieren, anhand derer sich die Namen entscheiden lassen.
Das Design und die Implementierung obliegt den Teilnehmern des Projektseminars in Absprache mit den Veranstaltern. Der Termin für das wöchentliche Treffen kann in Absprache mit den Teilnehmern und Veranstaltern verändert werden.
Dieses Projekt richtet sich an Studierende im Hauptstudium, insbesondere mit 2. Hauptfach Chemie.

Fortsetzung; Neueinstieg nur in Ausnahmefällen möglich! Programmier-Kenntnisse, die mindestens einem bestandenen Softwarepraktikum entsprechen. Stoff der Vorlesung OC 1a sehr wünschenswert, 1b und 1c sehr zu empfehlen.
