In dem Seminar sollen die Studierenden das Arbeiten mit Betriebssystem "Linux" erlernen. Vorteile dieses kostenlosen Systems sind neben der vergleichsweisen hohen Sicherheit gegenüber Trojanern und Viren auch die Stabilität und die Kompatiblität mit anderen Betriebssystemen. Neben der Bedienung der Oberfläche soll auch die Kommandozeilenbedienung sowie das Programmieren in Bash erlernt werden. Schließlich soll das Erstellen von HTML-Seiten und PHP-Skripten ein besseres Verständnis für den technischen Aufbau des Internets geben.
