In manchen neuen Familienformen (sog. "Patchwork-Familien") ist die "Personen-Union" von biologischer und sozialer Elternschaft nicht mehr gegeben. Daraus können sich Probleme entwickeln, die sich in den klassischen Vater-Mutter-Kind-Familien so nicht stellen.
Das Semniar soll am Beispiel von Adoptiv- und Stieffamilien Aufschluss geben, wie die psychosozialen Risiken minimiert werden können und welche Funktion dabei Beratungsprozessen zukommt.
