Die Vorlesung liefert eine Einführung in das Stoffgebiet der
statistischen Modellierung. Hauptaugenmerk liegt dabei auf Modellen,
die es erlauben, Strukturen in Daten widerzuspiegeln und
Einflussgrößen zu explorieren. Die Veranstaltung startet bei
einfachen Regressionsmodellen, die verallgemeinert werden, um
auch binäre oder kategoriale Daten unterzubringen.
Weiter werden Verweildauermodelle betrachtet, und es wird in nicht
parametrische Regression eingeführt.
In der Veranstaltung wird mathematisch theoretische Herleitung
Hand in Hand gehen mit praktischer numerischer Umsetzung.
Letztere wird mit dem Softwarepaket S plus beziehungsweise R
vollzogen. Abschließend wird das Erlernte zur praktischen
Analyse von konkreten Daten eingesetzt.
