Das Berufsfeld Gesundheitssport hat für viele Sportstudierende eine hohe Anziehungskraft. In dieser Veranstaltung steht die soziologische Betrachtung der Entstehung des Gesundheitssports als Teil des ausdifferenzierten Gesundheitssystems sowie des Sportsystems im Zentrum des Interesses. Daneben sollen aktuelle Entwicklungstrends im Bereich des Gesundheitssports anhand von ausgewählten Texten in den Blick genommen werden. Berufsperspektiven für Absolventen des sportwissenschaftlichen Studiums werden auf der Basis der soziologischen Analyse derzeitiger Entwicklungen im Gesundheitssport ausgelotet.
