Die Veranstaltung richtet sich gleichermaßen an StudentInnen der Päagogik als auch an haupt- und nebenberufliche MitarbeiterInnen in der Weiterbildung, Senioren- und Jugendarbeit. Im Zusammenhang mit der Diskussion um selbstorganisiertes Lernen wird ein Rollenwechsel bzw. eine Rollenerweiterung für das pädagogische Personal in der Weiterbildung prognostiziert. Lernende sollen zunehmend zu selbstständigem Lernen angeregt werden, dabei helfen ihnen LernbegleiterInnen den eigenen Lerntyp zu bestimmen, sich Lernziele zu setzen und Lernstrategien zu entwickeln. Sie stehen den Lernenden im Lernprozess mit Rat zur Seite und helfen auch bei der Lernerfolgskontrolle, nur eines tun sie nicht: Lehren!
In der Veranstaltung sollen vor allem die praktischen Konsequenzen für den Berufsalltag des pädagogischen Personals besprochen, die notwendigen neuen Kompetenzen identifiziert und ansatzweise praktisch erprobt werden.
