Der Kurs vermittelt einen Überblick über zentrale Themen und Methoden der germanistischen Linguistik. Ziel ist es, die Fähigkeit zur selbständigen und kritischen Auseinandersetzung mit germanistischen Problemstellungen zu entwickeln. Dazu gehört auch die Einführung in den Umgang mit wichtigen Hilfsmitteln sowie eine Übersicht über den aktuellen Stand der Forschungsliteratur. Inhaltlicher Schwerpunkt ist die Analyse von Phänomenen des Deutschen auf allen Beschreibungsebenen der Sprachstruktur.
