Die Wiederverwendung bzw. Aufarbeitung von Gütern steht seit einigen Jahren im Fokus der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion.
Neben den recycelten Bestandteilen fließen in die Produkte neue Rohstoffe und Teile ein. Entscheidungen müssen z.B. über die Losgrößen
der zu beschaffenden Mengen bzw. der zur Aufarbeitung eingesetzten Altteile getroffen werden.Weiterhin sind Reihenfolgen festzulegen etc.
Unter realitätsnahen Annahmen entziehen sich die dabei entstehenden Fragestellungen i.d.R. einem analytischen Zugang. Zu untersuchen sind u.a.
Einlastungspolitiken für die vor den Maschinen wartenden Aufträge, Empfehlungen für die Dimensionierung der maschinellen Kapazität
bzw. der Größe der Pufferlager und deren Interdependenzen. Zur Analyse wird auf eine Simulation mittels ARENA zurückgegriffen.

- Für Studenten mit Wahlfach UFO genügt es, wenn sie die Vorlesungen Netzplantechnik oder Lagerhaltungstheorie erfolgreich absolviert haben.
