Erarbeitet werden soll in diesem Kurs die Überformung des nationalen Umweltrechts durch das Umweltvölkerrecht und Europäische Umweltrecht. Dabei werden zunächst die grundlegenden Prinzipien, Kompetenzen und Regelungen des Umweltvölker- und -europarechts erörtert. Anschließend soll ausgehend von internationalen Übereinkommen (beispielsweise Rio-Deklaration im Bereich des Naturschutzes) deren Weg bis ins nationale Recht verfolgt werden. Dabei soll einerseits ein Verständnis der internationalen Problemlage und deren Auswirkungen auf die Nationalstaaten geweckt werden. Andererseits sollen Grundzüge der materiellen Regulierung im Umweltbereich sichtbar werden. Die Möglichkeit einen Wahlfachschein zu erwerben ist gegeben.
