Wer Sport vermittelt braucht Methoden. Das gilt für den Sportunterricht in Schulen wie für Kurse in Vereinen, Reha-Kliniken oder Volkshochschulen. In unserer Ringvorlesung behandeln wir Fragen, die sich bei der Vermittlung des Sports stellen und geben damit zugleich einen Überblick über das Lehrgebiet "Methodik des Sports". Für die Gliederung orientieren wir uns an unserem Lehrbuch (Bielefelder Sportpädagogen: Methoden im Sportunterricht. 4. Auflage Schorndorf 2003). In jeder Doppelstunde geht es um eine Lektion. Zentrale Gedanken werden erläutert und an Beispielen illustriert.
Für Studierende des Bachelor- und Diplomstudiengangs ist die Veranstaltung Pflicht. Erstere absolvieren die Veranstaltung als Teil des Moduls TdS 01, für letztere ist sie Bestandteil des Vordiploms. Für Studierende der Lehramtsstudiengänge empfiehlt es sich, die Vorlesung vor den Schulpraktischen Studien zu besuchen. "Methodik" ist ein Teilgebiet des Staatsexamens (D2), in dem auch die Examensklausur des AB IV geschrieben werden kann. Die Veranstaltung wird mit einer Klausur abgeschlossen.

In Ergänzung zum Methodenbuch (s.o.) wird in jeder Doppelstunde eine themenspezifische Literaturliste verteilt.
