In dieser Veranstaltung werden die Grundlagen der qualitativen Sozialforschung vermittelt. Dabei geht es sowohl um die Forschungslogik, d.h. die Methodologie qualitativen Vorgehens als auch um die methodischen Prinzipien der wichtigsten nicht-standardisierten Verfahren. Im Verlauf der zweisemestrigen Veranstaltung werden die wichtigsten qualitativen Verfahren (Ethnographie, Konversationsanalyse, Interview, Grounded Theory) erarbeitet und in Form von kleineren empirischen Projekten vertieft.
Die Veranstaltung wird im kommenden Semester als Aufbaukurs fortgesetzt. Von den TeilnehmerInnen wird eine fortlaufende Beteiligung an den Übungen sowie die Realisierung eines Studienprojekts erwartet.
