Die Festkörperphysik befasst sich mit der Struktur und den Eigenschaften der kondensierten Materie. Die physikalischen Eigenschaften von Festkörpern können aus der regelmäßigen Anordnung der Atome und dem Charakter der Wechselwirkungen zwischen den Atomen abgeleitet werden. In der aktuellen Forschung ist die Festkörperphysik heute eines der umfangreichsten und für die Anwendung wichtigen Gebiete.
Die Vorlesung soll folgende Punkte behandeln:
