Gewalt ist eines der schwierigsten und schillernsten sozialen Phänomene. Um sich mit der Thematik in intensiver Weise auseinaderzusetzen, sind neue Arbeitsformen notwendig.
Im Mittelpunkt dieses Seminars stehen 10 Gewaltthemen, die im Internationalen Handbuch der Gewaltforschung (Westdeutscher Verlag 2002) behandelt werden.
Die ausgewählten Themen werden in einer spezifischen Weise in einem Seminar bearbeitet, zu dem maximal 15 Studierende zugelassen werden. Die Arbeitsweise wird sich so gestalten, das auf der Basis von Handbuchartikeln von den Studierenden wöchentlich ein ca. 5-seitiges Essay erwartet wird. Den Studierenden wird jeweils in der darauffolgenden Sitzung das jeweilige Essay kommentiert zurückgegeben. Es ist also intensive Lese- und Schreibarbeit unabdingbar.
Voranmeldungen für das Seminar in der Sprechstunde (Di. 12-13 Uhr, S6-145) vor Semesterbeginn sind am 8.4. und 15.4. notwendig.
