Die Übung hat zwei Themenschwerpunkte: Zum einen werden biologische, chemische und physikalische Parameter von ausgewählten Kleingewässern bzw. Mesokosmen untersucht. Zum anderen werden in einem Transekt Messungen verschiedener Luft- und Bodenschadstoffe durchgeführt und deren Einfluß auf die umliegende Flora und Fauna dokumentiert. Hierbei werden aktuelle Methoden und Arbeitstechniken der Freilandökologie vermittelt.
