Die Realisierung flexibel einsetzbarer "intelligenter" Roboter ist ein wichtiges Anwendungsfeld für viele zentrale Gebiete der Informatik, wie z.B. Mustererkennung und künstliche Intelligenz, Steuern und Regeln von Aktuatoren, Aufbau von Sensorsystemen usw. Es verbindet diese interdisziplinär mit benachbarten Ingenieurswissenschaften, wie der Elektrotechnik oder dem Maschinenbau. Die Standardvorlesung "Einführung in die Robotik" vermittelt wichtige Grundkonzepte dieses spannenden und zukunftsträchtigen Gebietes und bietet damit den Einstieg in das zweite Hauptfach Robotik. Als Themen sind u.a. vorgesehen: Koordinatensysteme, Roboterkinematik, Bahnplanung, Sensoren, Regelungskonzepte sowie Roboterdynamik. Sie ist für Grund- und Hauptstudium geeignet und baut wesentlich auf Kenntnissen der linearen Algebra auf.
