Die Texte von Aristoteles, die heute unter dem Titel Nikomachische Ethik zusammengefasst sind, haben das moralphilosophische Denken des Abendlandes nicht nur nachhaltig geprägt. Auch in der Gegenwart reaktivieren zahlreiche Autoren den tugendethischen Ansatz von Aristoteles. In dieser Veranstaltung soll durch eine Diskussion ausgewählter Teile der Nikomachischen Ethik die aristotelische Position geklärt und auf ihre Plausibilität hin untersucht werden.

Es sei empfohlen, sich die Nikomachische Ethik entweder in der Meiner- oder in der Reclamausgabe zuzulegen. Die im Seminar behandelten Teile werden zu Beginn des Semesters auch als Kopiervorlage zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
