In der Vorlesung soll ein systematischer Überblick über ausgewählte Bereiche der Sozialstruktur der Gesellschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland gegeben werden. Dabei sollen die zentralen Begriffe definiert, die jeweils herangezogenen theoretischen Paradigmen skizziert und die Datengrundlagen verdeutlicht werden. Im einzelnen sollen die folgenden Themen behandelt werden:
