Die Ästhetische Biographie ist ein noch junger Zweig innerhalb der biographischen Forschung. Bei ihr geht es vor allem darum herauszufinden, wie sich unser ästhetisches Denken und Handeln entwickelt hat, und zwar in Hinblick auf alle fünf externen Sinneskanäle. Als ‚Anker’ dafür verwenden wir, Gegenstände aus der Kindheit, auch Kleidungsstücke, Kinderbilder, Spielzeug etc. Diese sollen uns die Tore zu den ‚vergessenen Bildern’ öffnen, und dazu werden wir einige z.T. sehr unterschiedliche Methoden kennenlernen.
