Die in den Medien häufig diskutierten Ergebnisse der Pisa - Studie gerade im Bezug auf das schlechte Abschneiden der deutschen Schülerinnen und Schüler im Bereich des Lesens hat einmal mehr die Frage aufgeworfen wer liest was, wann und wozu. Was macht einen guten Leser aus, wie wird man ein guter Leser und welche Rolle spielt das Elternhaus, aber auch der Kindergartens und die Schule für die Entwicklung der Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zum Lesen. Dieser und weiteren Fragen sollen anhand unterschiedlicher Modelle der Lesesozialisation und neuerer empirischer Untersuchungen nachgegangen werden. Teilnahmevoraussetzung für das Seminar sind die Bereitschaft zur aktiven und selbständigen Mitarbeit in der Gruppendiskussion und die Übernahme eines Referates.
