Das kompetente Lesen und Auswerten von Tabellen und statistischem Material ist in allen pädagogischen Handlungsfeldern unverzichtbar. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, diese Kompetenzen am Beispiel konkreter Studien zu vermitteln. Ausgangspunkt wird die zur Zeit in der Diskussion stehende PISA-Studie sein. Wir werden uns mit den folgenden Fragen auseinandersetzen: Über welche Probleme soll die Studie Auskunft geben? Welche Hypothesen wurden bei der Durchführung der Studie formuliert? Wie, Wo und welche Daten wurden erhoben? Was versteht man unter Datenauswertung? Was sagen uns die Ergebnisse?
