Zwei zentrale, wenn auch relativ kurze Werke der mittelalterlichen
Literatur werden in diesem Seminar einer gründlichen Lektüre (im
mittelhochdeutschen Original, nicht in Übersetzung!) unterzogen. Der
Blick auf die antike (z.B. "König Ödipus") und die neuere Literatur
(z.B. Thomas Mann, "Der Erwählte") wird dabei ebenso eine Rolle spielen
wie derjenige auf die mittelalterliche Kultur.

Bibliography

Als Textgrundlage können die beiden Reclam-Ausgaben (Reclam 456 bzw.
1787) verwendet werden. Geeignet ist auch die neue Taschenbuchausgabe
des Deutschen Klassiker-Verlags: Hartmann von Aue, ''Gregorius - Der arme
Heinrich - Iwein'', hrsg. von Volker Mertens, Frankfurt a.M. 2008.
