Ziel der Einführungswoche (IN DER WOCHE VOR SEMESTERBEGINN) ist es, den Studienanfängern und -anfängerinnen einen Einblick in das Spektrum der historischen Teildisziplinen zu geben, zu denen in Bielefeld gelehrt und geforscht wird. Dabei wird die Möglichkeit bestehen, einen großen Teil der Lehrenden persönlich kennen zu lernen. Anhand eines epochenübergreifenden Themas wird in Methoden und Arbeitsgebiete der Geschichtswissenschaft mit wechselnden Arbeits- und Präsentationsformen (Vorlesung, Seminar, Kleingruppenarbeit) eingeführt werden. Erwartet wird eine aktive Teilnahme der Studierenden. Das bedeutet, daß eine Teilnahme nur sinnvoll ist, wenn Sie über das reine Kursprogramm hinaus auch Zeit für vorbereitende Lektüre und das Gespräch mit den Kommilitonen einplanen. Die Einführungswoche ist eine Pflichtveranstaltung für alle Studienanfänger und -anfängerinnen.
