Der allgemeine Teil des Schuldrechts ist im zweiten Buch des BGB geregelt (Abschnitt 1 - 7). Er gehört zu den Kernmaterien des Bürgerlichen Rechts. Schuldverhältnisse können aus Vertrag oder Gesetz entstehen, indem zwischen den Parteien Leistungspflichten begründet werden. Die Veranstaltung beschäftigt sich mit der Entstehung solcher Rechtsverbindungen, mit ihren Inhalten, mit Leistungsstörungen und dem Erlöschen. Auch das allgemeine Schadensersatzrecht ist zu behandeln.
Der Termin der Semesterabschlußklausur wird besonders bekanntgegeben. Eine Hausarbeit wird in der an das Wintersemester anschließenden vorlesungsfreien Zeit ausgegeben.
