Die Chancen und Probleme religiöser Erziehung sollen in diesem Seminar ausgelotet werden, indem zum einen die Rolle des Glaubens und religiöser Rituale in einer durch Wertewandel und Wertepluralität geprägten Welt behandelt wird. Zum anderen sollen die Effekte religöser Einstellungs- und Verhaltensweisen auf die seelische Gesundheit von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen betrachtet werden. Hierbei werden die vorherrschenden Religionen im Zentrum stehen, da sogenannte Sekten in der Veranstaltung von S. Murken behandelt werden.
