In der Übung werden ausgewählte Themen aus dem Bereich Sozialstrukturanalyse (u.a. Bevölkerungsentwicklung, Familienstruktur, soziale Ungleichheiten) behandelt. Der Aufbau der Übung lehnt sich an die Vorlesung zur Sozialstrukturanalyse an.

Von den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern wird erwartet, daß sie die jeweils vorgesehenen Texte lesen und sich an den Diskussionen beteiligen. Voraussetzung für den Erwerb eines Scheins ist ein mündliches Referat sowie eine schriftliche Hausarbeit zu einem der Themengebiete.
