Die Lehrveranstaltung baut auf der "Allgemeinen Zoologie/Histologie" auf und vertieft die Kenntnis der Diversität im Tierreich. Diese Übung ist für Diplom-Biologen vorgesehen. Es werden verschiedene Vertreter der Wirbellosen sowie der Wirbeltiere (excl. Amniota) bearbeitet, um den evolutiven Prozeß zur rekonstruieren und den Zusammenhang zwischen Struktur und Funktion zu verdeutlichen.
