Die Lehrveranstaltung wird als 14tägiger Block an dem Laboratoire die Biologie Marine in Concarneau (Frankreich) durchgeführt. Die Teilnehmer lernen charakteristische Faunenelemente des Nordwestatlantik kennen und bearbeiten eine selbstentwickelte Fragestellung zur Verteilung und Ökologie von Organsimen im Felslitoral. Die Veranstaltung schult selbständiges wissenschaftliches Arbeiten. Der Leistungsnachweis besteht in einem Protokoll in Publikationsform (siehe http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/biologie/M+S). Die Veranstaltung findet als Kooperation mit dem Laboratoire Biologie Marine und der Universität Ulm statt. Die Teilnehmer beteiligen sich an den Fahrt- und Unterbringungskosten.
