In Einzelgesprächen (Termine nach Vereinbarung per E-Mail an jens.stoye@uni-bielefeld.de) werden Themen verteilt, zu denen selbstständig in einer Programmiersprache der eigenen Wahl eine Implementierung angefertigt werden soll. Bei der Implementierung kommt es darauf an, eine asymptotisch optimale Umsetzung zu finden, die im Idealfall durch systematische Tests nachgewiesen wird.
Eine Woche vor der Abschlussbesprechung (Termin siehe externe Kommentarseite) muss der Source-Code an den Betreuer geschickt werden. Zur Abschlussbesprechung präsentiert jeder Teilnehmer seine Software vor allen Teilnehmern. Bei Nichtgenügen der Lösung besteht die Möglichkeit, bis Ende des Semesters eine Nachbesserung anzufertigen.
