In dieser Veranstaltung werden die Grundlagen der qualitativen Sozialforschung und die methodischen Prinzipien der wichtigsten nicht-standardisierten Verfahren vermittelt. In einzelnen Studienprojekten werden die hermeneutische Verfahrenslogik des qualitativen Vorgehens sowie einzelne qualitative Methoden (Ethnographie, Interview, Konversationsanalyse etc.) erarbeitet. Thematisch stehen dabei die kommunikativen Formen und Praktiken der Verwendung des Handys im Mittelpunkt.
Die Veranstaltung ist die Fortsetzung des Grundkurses qualitative Methoden aus dem WiSe 2001/2002. Neue Teilnehmer können deshalb nicht aufgenommen werden.
