Die Veranstaltung versteht sich als Überblicksveranstaltung über den antiken Dialog, wobei der Fokus thematisch auf den Bereich Ethik gerichtet ist: Der literarische Dialog ist jedoch überhaupt eine der wichtigsten Textsorten antiker Philosophie. Im Einzelnen werden uns mit Werken mit dem Dialogcorpus Platons, Ciceros, Senecas, Minucius Felix', Augustinus' und Sulpicius Severus beschäftigen und der Frage nachgehen, inwieweit die Dialogform für die Texte jeweils konstitutiv ist.
Bei der Auswahl der Text wird - soweit möglich - darauf geachtet, dass sie schulrelevant sind.
