The course aims to:
• develop your comprehension of business terms and economic concepts;
• provide you with opportunities to gain confidence in speaking by talking about business concepts, making presentations, and performing role play;
• focus on business areas and functions like social English, presentations, meetings, negotiations and (job) applications.
Skills development
Students are taught to develop their skills in:
Reading articles from business publications, including charts and graphs.
Speaking, including giving opinions, agreeing and disagreeing, questioning, clarifying and negotiating.
Presenting, making short presentations in front of the class, including preparing and using visual aids.
Writing company profiles, CVs and covering letters/letters of motivation Listening to conversations and presentations in the field of business and economics.
