Das Bielefelder Stadtrecht, eine Schöffenspruchsammlung aus Münster, die in einer Urkunde aus dem Jahre 1326 erhalten ist, liegt in mehreren Übersetzungen vor, die jedoch weder sprachlich noch sachlich zufrieden stellen. Um dieses (nächst dem Soester und dem Dortmunder wichtigste westfälische) Stadtrecht allen Interessierten zugänglich zu machen, soll eine allgemeinverständliche und juristisch zuverlässige Übersetzung und Erläuterung erstellt werden.
Voraussetzung für die Mitarbeit sind historisches Interesse und Lateinkenntnisse. Durch Kurzreferate oder Ausarbeitung ausgewählter Abschnitte des Projekts kann der Grundlagenschein erworben werden.
Die Veranstaltung ist auch für "Studierende ab 50" geöffnet.
