230245 An introduction to tDCS/tACS in neurolinguistic experiments (BS) (WiSe 2017/2018)

Contents, comment

This course is designed for linguistic students with a neurolinguistic profile who plan to graduate with a master thesis on electrical brain stimulation. A comprehensive overview on the function and usage of tDCS and tACS in neurolinguistic experiments will be given. This will include a hands-on workshop in the neurolinguistic laboratory and practice of tDCS/tACS in language-based experimental settings. As course achievement participants will develop an own scientific question for a tDCS study. For the participation in this course knowledge on neuroanatomy and brain physiology is essential, as well as basic knowledge on the method and function of tDCS is highly recommended. This course will be entirely held in English. An application via E-Mail (la.balduin@uni-bielefeld.de) is mandatory.

Neurolinguistik: Methoden und Modelle
Funktionelle Neuroanatomie der Sprache I und II
