Das heutige Angebot an Kinderbibeln umfasst mehr als hundert unterschiedliche Ausgaben, permanent werden Neuerscheinungen auf den Markt gebracht. Es ist von daher nicht verwunderlich, dass vielfach der "Gott der Leute" nicht der "Gott der Bibel", sondern der "Gott der Kinderbibel" ist.
Wichtige theologische Texte und Themen des Alten Testaments sollen vor diesem Hintergrund auf ihre "Behandlung" in neueren Kinderbibeln überprüft werden. Das Problem einer angemessenen Bebilderung erscheint dabei von besonderer Bedeutung. Wenn gewünscht, können auch andere Medien (Film, CD-Rom) etc. zum Vergleich herangezogen werden.
Ziel des Seminars ist es, erste Kriterien gewinnen, die für eine allgemeine Qualitätsbeurteilung von Kinderbibeln dienlich sind.
