Die Vorlesung "Numerische Verfahren in der Informatik" bietet in kompakter Form eine Einführung in die wichtigsten Verfahren der Numerischen
Mathematik. Vorgesehene Themen sind: Lösung linearer Gleichungssysteme, Eigenwertberechnung, Nullstellenbestimmung, Interpolation,
Minimierungsverfahren, Lösen nichtlinearer Gleichungen, Gewöhnliche Differentialgleichungen, Lineare Optimierung. Die dabei besprochenen Methoden
bilden ein wichtiges Handwerkszeug für die Bearbeitung zahlreicher Aufgabenstellungen in den Natur- und Ingenieurswissenschaften. Insbesondere
werden in der Vorlesung Beispiele aus der Robotik und der Computergraphik behandelt. Darüber hinaus können die besprochenen Verfahren wichtige
Konzepte der Analysis und Linearen Algebra in ihrer Anwendung illustrieren. Die Vorlesung wendet sich an Studierende des Studiengangs
Naturwissenschaftliche Informatik in Grundstudium und Hauptstudium und wird besonders empfohlen für das 2. Hauptfach Robotik.
