Das Familienrecht ist im wesentlichen im vierten Buch des BGB geregelt. Sein Gegenstand sind soziale und rechtliche Beziehungen, in die praktisch jeder eingebunden ist. Im Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung werden das Eherecht und die Rechtsbeziehungen zwischen Eltern und Kindern stehen. Dabei geht es keinesfalls nur um die rechtliche Regulierung persönlicher Bindungen, sondern auch um die vielfältigen Ausstrahlungen und Bezüge des Familienrechts zum Vermögensrecht.
